Cleaning Update

Yesterday I had a first time cleaning crew come and clean my home. The owner said she would be there, but did not show up to my home until later. Two women showed up at promptly 8:00 a.m. to start cleaning. Since this was the first time I used this service, I was surprized that the owner was not there first thing.

I took Ben for a walk and when I came back the two women were "done" with the upstairs. I was a little skeptical about that since we have two bathrooms and five bedrooms on the top floor. I went upstairs to "check" the work done. The bathrooms looked great. Unfortunately, the bedrooms had a lot to be desired. There was dust everywhere I looked. I called for them to explain that I expected everything dusted. I showed them where they missed, and they seemed a little annoyed. I called the owner. She said she was on her way. After updating her on the problem, she redid the upstairs and they all stayed for another 4 hours to complete my home. It was sparkling at the end. But I wonder what kind of job they would have done on the other two levels had I said nothing? I told the owner that I will have them back in two weeks ONLY if she came too. We will see what the second cleaning looks like. If I have to say something again, it's time for a new cleaning service....

Good for you for being sharp and requesting that it be done properly!

Must feel great having a deep-cleaned house :-)

Yikes! My neighbor has a cleaning crew and they get through in less than 2 hours. I'm not sure what's included but that seems pretty quick....

They probably could have gotten done an hour earlier, but they had to redo the second level.
