Feeling hopeful...

Well, I just talked to my husband and discussed what should be paid off first. We have decided, depending on the size of his annual bonus, to apply all amounts to the car loans, so that we will have an extra $1,000.00 a month to pay down all the other expenses. I've worked out my debt repayment plan, and I'm set on making it work. No more frivolous spending....

I ate out for lunch at work for the very last time. In January I will make sure I bring food from home. I've decided that it's the dollars that really count, as opposed to the big ticket items, although those will be curtailed too.

My ambition is to pay off all of the debts in 2008 (minus the HELOC as this is too big), and have money in savings. I would like to take the kids to the lake again, but we will have to see how our monthly progress develops.

I'm starting the first two weeks in January with approximately $900.00 to cover food and incidentals (soccer/baseball signups will probably eat up about 250.00 of it, as well as my daughter's birthday, so it really isn't all that much). But I will make menus, and spend wisely at the grocery store.

It's time to get healthy too. Exercise is the first thing on my list...which will eliminate me buying junk food. It works all the way around...

Great goals! I have found that the hope and determination are the motivation, along with reality. I can't wait to read all about your journey.
