Oh boy. This is a tough post. I have to come clean with all my blogger friends....
Okay, here goes:
Donuts: $8.27 (Dunkin Donuts - a dozen, very pricey I know, but a nice treat for a lazy Sunday morning)
Groceries: $24.53
I blew it. I only had $8.00 in my grocery cash stash. I had to (gulp) break out the cc to pay for the rest of the groceries. To save myself from cc debt, I have set up my bill pay to pay back this amount first thing on the 15th (pay day).
Lenten Promise: I told myself I would not buy anything for myself during these 40 days (Sundays not included in Lent, but I'm not using that). Should going out to dinner and breakfast count? Well, I figured (excuses, excuses) that since I was with my family, it didn't count as something just for me...
So.....I hope the next grocery budget holds true as well as my Lenten promises...

If you pay your CC before you accumulate interest, there's nothing wrong with that :-)
Is a dozen donuts really that expensive? I can get them at Tim Hortons (our chain up here) for about $5.......... wow. Unless they are really fancy ones?
Yes, because they can. I think it's ridiculous, but we only do it once in a while. I did it this weekend because my daughter was home.
Nice to see another PF blogger writing about Lent! FYI, I gave up grocery shopping one year! It was a good thing, I had been spending waaay too much. Send DH out for eggs and milk once a week and we were good!
