My "No spend weekend"

Well, uh, it's like this.....

Saturday was GREAT! We went to my son's basketball game and came right home! My daughter wanted to go to Target for more school supplies for her science project, but I told her that it was "a no spend weekend". She told me she would pay for it...but there was no way I was entering Target! We made due and found some of the supplies that we already had.

Sunday......

I forgot about Sundays. We go to Mass at 8:45 a.m. and after Mass we meet our very good friends at the bagel store for breakfast EVERY week. This is important to us because it's our way of keeping in touch with our friends. We arrive at the bagel store about 9:45 a.m. and usually stay until 11:30 a.m. It's our morning out.

Total expenses for the day?
Breakfast: $17.13
Gas fill up (because I was on fumes): $44.00
and church giving $35.00

So....although it was suppose to be a "no spend" weekend, it turned out costing us $$96.13.

Bottomline? I do not feel bad about any of these expenses. I feel the weekend was a success!

Oh I wouldn't feel bad, like you said the breakfast out is a great way to socialize. And breakst out is a lot cheaper than dinner and drinks!!!

As for the gas, well I don't think it's wise to let the tank get down too low, so you did great there too!!

Sounds like a great weekend!
