YES!!!!!!!!!!

Our dental plan will pay $2390 towards my daughter's braces. That means instead of paying $4780, our out-of-pocket expenses will be $2390. This is still high, but it's so much better. When anything is close to $5000, it makes me a bit nervous. Even on a payment plan.

It is a wonderful thing that you have insurance. Just think what you would have if your insurance was managed by the government.

As someone who had their parents pay for their braces I must say I am eternally grateful to them. Our medical plan covered part of them but I know they sacrificed a lot to pay for the rest.
But when I see my smile as compared to before and the increase in confidence it has given me... I'm very grateful! They are definitely worth it.

Fabulous! I was talking to a friend this weekend and her dental plan won't pay a penny towards her daughter's braces. They are waiting until open enrollment in July to switch to the other dental plan offered by her husband's employer so that the cost is partially covered.

I think my younger daughter inherited my teeth and we're looking at braces in about 3 years. We'll see ...
