As I said in an earlier post, I love January. And I also like snow....in December and January. We have not seen very much in Northern Virginia, and I'm really craving it. Today the temperature got up to 65 degrees. People were out in shorts with no jackets, pushing strollers, walking dogs, jogging.....I felt I should be starting to garden. That's not what I want! I want an excuse to rest...And cold weather and snowy days are all part of my vision for January....hot soups, hot chocolate...warm blankets to curl up and read in...

Last week, we got 8" of snow over night...now we have rain and 50s!

I'm feeling guilty for enjoying the warmth. I know it's a sign of an unhealthy planet but it's making me feel a bit uplifted. Don't worry, the cold and snow will come. They always do. Look out for a President's day blizzard!
